PetStep Account Data Rights

In-App Self-Service

PetStep supports the following self-service account actions for signed-in cloud accounts:

• Export my data from Settings -> Data & Privacy
• Delete Account from Settings -> Account

Export

The export flow returns a JSON payload containing the available account data currently covered by the export edge function, including:

• auth profile details,
• pets and lineage state,
• recent step logs,
• world progress,
• latest game-state snapshot.

Deletion

The delete-account flow removes the primary PetStep account records handled by the deletion edge function, including:

• pets,
• step logs,
• world progress,
• game-state snapshots,
• onboarding checkpoints,
• the auth user record.

Platform Compliance Notes

• Google Play requires a clear in-app account deletion path when account creation is supported.
• Google Play also requires a public web resource explaining how users can request deletion of their account and associated data.
• Apple App Review requires apps that create accounts to support deletion when deletion is legally required and to explain privacy/data handling accurately.
